Does anyone want to volunteer to come be our housekeeper, table server, assistant table server and just all around events coordinator?
What can I say...the trip rocked our world. We left Thursday and everything went smoothly....Travis' brother generously gave us tickets through his work and they were standby and we got on the first flight no problems! Fly Jet Blue or you are nuts if you don't!
We got to the rental car and got a sweet upgrade. Drove to our hotel, The Disney All Stars Movies Resort. I go to check in and the lady looks at my reservation and almost did a cartwheel. Apparantly the hotel was full and we had won a little lottery that gave us a room at the Deluxe Resort...The Polynesian. Get this...I said, "No." At first. I thought it wouldn't be as much fun for Lexi...the lady looked at me like I had crazy written on the old forhead. She kept saying to the lady on the phone at the Polynesian, "Yes, I did tell her that! I know!" So I finally got Trav's attention and he basically took over and said, "My wife has no idea what she is saying." The Poly was right on the monorail and that's what got me to change my mind. So we stayed at a sweet Resort and I basically can't stop saying..."I can't believe I said no."
We were blessed right and left this trip. We had a blast at the park, fireworks on the beach of the resort, we rented a boat and just being in the sun was enough to never want to go home! It was pretty dreamy.
We boarded the Disney Magic Saturday and we immediately found our family and that's when the real party started. To see the faces of my nieces and nephews who had no clue we were coming was priceless. Lexi's face brought tiny tears because she finally understood what we meant by Dinsey boat. She loved the club the most and playing with her cousins. The beaches were amazing. Travis was the snorkel king. You couldn't find him for hours at a time because he was playing Discovery Channel with the camera and a barracuda. My favorite was Castaway Cay. It was Disney's private island and we were the third family off the boat and we walked onto a deserted paradise. No other people, island music and smell of barbeque. We got a nice spot on the beach with a hammock. After a while the smell of barbeque turned into the smell of charred skin. For some reason sun block works in all parts of the world except the Carribean. (Imagine me and my skin and I had a dermatologist appt. yesterday too. My doc had words for me.)
The only bad part of the trip besides Dan's migraine was the flight home. All I can say is there was a lot of puke all around us. We walked off the plane and there were barf bags and stains all over the place. We couldn't get off that plane fast enough!
We loved our trip and it was JUST what the doctor ordered!!
Hope you all had a MAGICAL week!
