Pure Bliss

After a huge build of of getting ready and tears from the night before I woke up on Tuesday ready for a something I haven't experienced for 8 years.

A trip without kids!

I figured out the two things that would make me actually want to leave my kids.

Here's the equation.

These ladies

+

This place

and of course

this

It
Was
AWESOME!

Thanks for coming with ladies
and a huge thanks to the ladies
and handsome devil of a husband who took care of the kiddos
so I could go.

Also...dear sisters thanks for dancing on the table with me at that Greek place with that belly dancer that made us all feel fat and out of shape.

Good Luck Charm? You tell me.

As we ripped apart a section of our garage yesterday,
we found this bad boy.

The previous owners were charming.

It was her weekend.

Turning 8 has a lot of perks.
Lex was kinda like a super star that weekend.

In her words...

Presents
2 grandmas
1 grandpa
4 Aunts
3 Unlces
6 cousins
a trillion friends
Barno backyard BBQ
acorn fight
hotel swimming
2 birthday cakes and
1 really awesome baptism

It was pretty awesome.

She was in heaven...see...

I hang my head in shame that I didn't take a single picture of Lex in her dress.
My Grandma Shirley is probably hanging her head just like me.

Seriously, I didn't take NEARLY enough pictures of everything that went down but it was pretty unforgettable. All the people that came to see our girl, near and very far, makes me utterly speechless. Thank you all for helping Lex have an extremely awesome experience.

The "planning part" didn't bring the best out of me.

Psssssst....
I'm glad it's over.
I gave the camera to my Blubber-in-law, Doug, to take pictures. He got some really great shots of the baptism to help us remember every little detail...see...

Oh, and I get really emotional about these two.
Oh and not pictured...some shots that are a little...off color, if you will.

Thanks, Doug.
Thanks a lot.

Things kids think of when putting on a belt.

Lexi: "Mom, wouldn't it be cool if I could turn my head all the way around. I'd be like half owl half girl. An OwlGirl."

Mom: "????"

Lexi: "Ohhh actually, how about me and Lucy. She'd be OwlGirl Baby and I'd be OwlGirl."

Mom: "Is your medication regulated?"
