Tagged the nastiest little invention

Yes, my dear friend Julie slapped me hard in the face with a tag.

I can't let her down. I must keep it going or I'm sure I'll lose all my money, my husband will leave me and my crush won't call me in 15 minutes.

Here's goes.

What's in your bag??

I'll do the tag, but I'm gonna call it Satchel. Try and stop me.

Here we have Satchel. She's good now that my mom and I reattached the straps. Good as new.

Here's the best part...Satchel's internal organs. The things that make my world go round.

We have the wallet, the bag of Natural Ice chapstick (never leave home without it)and lipstick, keys (complete with lanyard so I can find them in my pit of a satchel), calculator (don't you accounting nuts judge me), wipes for quick cleaning from any possibility in the public world, red bag with all sorts of goodies for everyday real time emergencies (pocket gerber, tylenol, advil, gum, breath mints, lady's days items and Lexi and Travis' extra meds), tissues, photo album of my boy, sunglasses that need to be left in the car, Wendy's straws to be left in the car for extreme emergencies, little notebook, bias tape to be returned to Joann's, and a flier of a craft at Michaels that I might take the Lou for funs. A couple of things that should be in there for everyday emergencies...a diet coke tap, a hot chocolate maker or some chocolate milk...but that's only for the hardest of times.

There you go. It was interesting looking at what I really have and actually showing it to people. Go ahead judge...but now you are all thinking the same. Whether you are a mom and thinking..."She doesn't have..." and if you are Phil laughing at my expense. I'm sure you have stuff in your satchel that I'll laugh at.

Try this tag if she seems fitting. Could be a real gas!

Better Late Than Never

Happy Birthday Big Poppa!

Looking pretty fly there, bro.

31 is old...but just think your trophy wife is still young and hip.

What does your wife have to do with you being borderline geriatric? Nothing. Just wanted to throw it in there.

Love your guts T.

From the mouths of babes

Before reading my post please glance at this.

Now.

An smidgen of Lexi's prayer tonight.

"And please bless Finn that she won't be sick. That she won't buy any more peanuts. That she'll get better. That she will stop being sick like THAT. And please bless that big fat kid from school."

A couple of things-

I guess she does listen to me when I talk. If she listens to everything, get this child a therapist...STAT.

I must teach her that saying fat isn't so P.C. and that we only say it about how PHAT I am.

Cheers

Rhode Island Retreat-Rest for the Weary

I've said it before, my mom and dad's house is like a little retreat in the woods. At times it's covered in snow with the neighbors riding their horses down the street, or the kids next door running around the bases pretending to be the Red Sox, the frogs croaking in the ponds. I love it. Then the next moment one is reminded you are in fact in Rhode Island. The farmer boys drive past about 500 times on their dirt bikes or quads and the worker at Walmart has four teeth. I'm o.k. with that. It's still my retreat in the woods.

To sum up our little February 16th getaway trip, a weekend in pictures.

Hike to Rome Point at Narragansett Bay saw this fella...or someone like him.

Did a lot of items with this bad boy.

Fed some of these after church.

(Well, they looked similar.)

And....partook of a little too much of this.

And last but not least, wanted to do this to the buyers of my parents house when they "popped in."

No,no buyers.

Let's just call this weekend a complete success. Thanks Grandma Joyce, and thank you Walmart employees. I had a great time.

It's Awareness time

Hello my friends and family.

Many different organizations are using every effort to educate everyone. Breath of Hope Inc. is encouraging every state to recognize March 31st as CDH awareness day. Obviously to better inform everyone to this detrimental defect. Everyone is asked to please wear turquoise on that day to show their support! There are a few places online selling pre-made shirts.

I wish the best to all of you and thanks for all your support.

Cheers

I apologize that I'm not the best writer to show my emotion and devotion to this cause, this is how I roll.

Strong Suggestion

Do not leave a dead fish (in a bowl, with a water sample) sitting in a plastic bag on your counter for three days.

DO NOT.

But DO know that PetCo will take back dead friends, aquariums, food and even the fancy decorative treasure chest.

Hot dog.

On to bigger and brighter things. We've decided to give Lexi a plant to care for.
