It was an accident officer, I swear.

Hyper "Melvin" + over eager Aunt Jenny =

THAT'll go on my permanent record.

Somebody get me the number for child services.

Busy Bee

Or bossy bee, because that is what it feels like when you are surrounded with kiddos.

What I can say is that we had many kids over this weekend for extremely fun times.

What I can't say is how many times I said the word, "No."

So don't even ask.

I lost count at a billion.

Yes, I did corral them like this all weekend.

What? Is that bad?

"No, you can't stick you hand in there."
"No, you can't eat that, it's not food."
"No, please don't lick my couch."

Actually, we had a seriously good time. The kids were angels.
but mostly-
Lexi was in HEAVEN.

Thanks munchkins!!

Who needs Six Flags...

when you have a sweet down home carnival?

St. Gregory the Great Church in Hamilton had a lovely little carnival, complete with carny folk.
(Note-no photos of said folk. Sorry to disappoint.)

We met up with a few families and painted the town red.

Little one couldn't be cuter.

My favorite ride. I picked this picture because we were standing up to keep ourselves from falling out, unfortunately Kristin's head is a casualty. Please imagine a screaming contest between us and the other side. (Lame competition Cyd and Joe. Lame.)

My lunatic husband and some friends are on this...

(I'm insanely jealous we ran out of tickets for me to have a go on this bad boy.)

Until next year St. Gregory the Great. Until next year...

Deadliest Catch

Lex was watching "Deadliest Catch" today. She started telling me how they catch them and I asked her what they do with them after they catch em.

"Oh they cut off their pokey grabey things and stuff their bodies with chicken. Then we eat them."

That cleared up that process for me.

This photo haunts my dreams.

oPtIcAl UpDaTe

I made it through Saturday. No new specs, but not for the lack of trying. Nothing sparked my interest, except for a pair that I already own in a new color.

That would just be silly.

Thanks for a challenge Wetherill Opticians, Inc.

Russians unveil monument to - the enema

Posted in Culture, Earth, Health by eideard on June 21st, 2008

In Russia, they just unveiled a bronze monument to, uh, the enema. I am not making this up. A health spa specializing in illnesses of the digestive tract commissioned a $42,000 statue of cherubs carrying an enema syringe. When balloons lifted a red drape into the sky this week, there it was…

The artist was inspired by a classic Botticelli painting, and she says she sees irony in the work. I guess maybe she should call the thing ”The Ironic Colonic.”

The monument to the medical instrument used to introduce liquids into the body via the anus is the only one of its kind in Russia, the hospital said.

Truly breathtaking.

I can't help myself

Hi. My name is Jennifer Meyerson and I'm a spectacles-oholic.

It's step one in my program.

Every time I work, I can't help myself and I come home with a new pair.

Luckily, I don't work as much lately, but still.

So today I'm challenging myself. Let's see if I can come home without a new friend on my face.

Come on now, cheer me on.

It's one of those days.

Do you ever wonder why you are dealt with the things you've been blessed with? I don't often complain, mostly in a public forum. I can't help but do it today.

That's right. Whomever came up with the idea of "ear infection" can stick it in your ear. 8 weeks of these "blessings" is just about enough. Is this some sick joke?

Do you hear me?

Of course, if that is all I have to complain about...

SHOUT OUT TO THE BIG MAN

LOVE YOU PAPA!!

He who shall not be named

To protect his identity, we will not use his own name.

(also I'd be tarred an feathered if I did)

So we'll call him...Melvin.

Personally, I think Melvin needs hair cut. What do we do when we need haircuts?

Put bows in it.

He has finally warmed up to Travis. And it was good.

Ain't so rosey

One of our little foster munchkins needed to come back to our house for a while and I've got good news and bad news.

Good News: He's a super sweet little boy now that the old withdrawal is gone.

Bad News: If you think Roseola sounds like some hard core rosy fun, you would be wrong.

Hasta la Vista Preschool

It's official.

Yes, it's killing me.

She happily showed off her "Friendship Award."
Her high school buddy Mike is her "best friend."

Giving her diploma to a strange old lady sitting in the front row.
She demanded that Lex give it to her. She then turned around to me and said, "She's going to ruin this."

Please notice all the teenagers staring at her. We joined in on on that.

Lexi thinks Ms. Bozian is a super hero.

Ready or not Kindergarten...here she comes!

Brutal Honesty

I told Lex to ask her dad if it was alright with him if she could sleep over at Aunt Cyd's house.

Lex- "Dad can I sleep over at Tyler's house for a whole sleepover, not a half?"

Dad-"Why should I let you sleep over, when mom says you've been a pill today?"

Lex-"Dad. You put the freakin' turkey in the cabinet, and you are in big trouble."

Honestly, I haven't heard a better argument in this lifetime.

Things that make the world go round

After spending the day being a drill sergeant, tell me this wouldn't make you laugh.

Where is the weirdest place you've found toys?

Down the Shore

We were able to stay a week down in Ocean City, NJ a bit ago.

However much rain there was...it was still just what the doctor ordered.

A few pics from our antarctic tropical oasis.

Popsicle Peanut

Man folk

Sand in their shorts

Whose a happy boy, Mark?

Pier Punks

my kids

Sadly I have only these pictures. I either never brought my camera or thought to take a picture except for these places. I guess my obsession with taking pictures for the blog only is subsiding!

However, I could NOT go one without posting this photo.
I believe if there was a photo contest...this would win.

Chase the daredevil tries to jump over mom.

Take that Cyd, and LOVE it.
