Lexi's Renovations

So, when I say my dad is handy man,
I mean he can pretty much do anything.
I mean the man used to cut my bangs.

So when we visited my parents, Lexi had a project just for him.
It took a few days to get it ready, but when he thought it was ready
...he was ready.

She was ready to pull it out before it was even loose.

(P.S. The same pliers he used on my mouth and he ALWAYS pulls it out on "2")

I love the bloody teeth.
Makes her look tough.
My dad freakin rocks.

Aunt Jodeth

Lexi looks forward to this visit every year.
I dread the visit, fearing that her red hair will be catching. (wink wink)

While our dearest auntie was here she (and Coco too!) taught the girls many things including...

Domestic responsibilities

Crafty Crafts
Fashion sense
How to be a real beach bum

and how to be Jerseyfied/Shnookified
As a thank you for all the home schooling,
we took her and the Coco to Pat's King of Steaks and the Franklin Fountain in Philly.

I highly suggest the fountain, but bring cash.

It came and went entirely too fast, but we had a pretty sweet time.
Thanks for coming!!
We love you dearly, Jodu!

Irrational...maybe. But not today.

Everyone has irrational fears...

Clowns
Spiders (ehem Cyd)
Not being able to breath
Chupacabra

Me?

Ocean
I can barely breath when I see ocean videos and look off the bow of a boat and see no land.

But now...

My fear has moved up to "Threat Level Orange."

Big Fat Onsie

Remember when she wasn't 1?

She's practically a grown up.

We threw her a circus/monsoon party.
You know, cuz she's an animal and she like rain.

The "Big Top"
We had good intentions.

Then the monsoon part of the party.

We decided it to be prudent to head inside.
The adults had to clean up.
I call this picture
"Every sacrifice has it's reward"
Our fierce circus lion has been traumatized ever since.

The show begins.

The Great TBarno and his lovely assistant

The Clown

Other clowns...

Concessions
Apparently a devil lady hands them out.

Face Painting

A birthday stache.
(Thanks for all the circus gear Jess. You RULE.)

Thank goodness for this one year old.
She's still just as dreamy as day one!

Oh....and I turned 31.
Complete with a Swiss Cake Roll Cake
Does it get better?
Blurry, but you can see the crazy delight.

Nu House

Big Poppa and Mommsy blew into town.
Thought we'd take the house apart.

She was....

Morphing...
Salmon grout...outa here!

Move cabinets down, cut cabinets up.

A few of the tools that came out to play.

Building a new counter top.

Mom and Cyd playing happy.

Kids banished.

This THING...
Did this...
So I'm doing this...
Eat that sucker.

The Microwave installer.
He'll git er done, just expect there to be expletives.

Th did amazing for a first timer.

But this guy...he's the MAN. He is a maniac and I LOVE him!!!

Fin...
(sort of)
If I listed all the things we did in six days,
you'd be ready for a nap, like I am after looking at the pictures again.

What's this? A dishwasher? I must be DREAMING!
And is that a microwave where the scary vent was?

And I don't know if you noticed...we don't have cabinet doors and plywood for a back splash.
It's so in these days.

Close. Oh SO close.

Eu de potty...

New vanity, and practically a wall sized mirror.
Lexi can finally see herself again without standing on the toilet and leaning on the wall.

Laundry zone...
Sure it seems like all fun and games with your washer and dryer 10 feet apart. Until you try this...

Complete with new utility sink.
The old one was approximately 1000 pounds and had monsters living under it.

So as you can see: My dad, mom, Cyd, Phil, and my better half
ROCKED THE HOUSE!!

Thank you from the very bottom of my heart!!!!!!!
