A new car!?

That's right you heard me. My dad has been working so hard on my ride it's like a whole new car. All I can say is that rattle in the dash that made me scratch my eardrums is finally gone. What I can say is, that I have some pretty sweet wheels.

You should all have a mechanic for a dad. Or a dad as a mechanic. It's pretty great.

On another note Lexi has taught us a new song.

"Three little monkeys swinging on a tree. Here comes mister crocodile, Can't catch me, Can't catch me! GULP. No more little monkeys are swinging on that tree!"

It's terrifyingly funny and all children should sing it.

Lexi is doing ok, by the way. She is still 4 so I don't think she'll be as cooperative as I want. Is there a pill for that?

I’m quite jealous you’ve spent the last few days at mom and dads for three main reasons:
1. Live in mechanic—he may ask you to leave the garage sometimes due to frustration and a tendency to kill someone, but he does a great job.
2. Unbelievable pantry—how do they maintain such a delightful assortment of food? I covet that pantry, and I’m not afraid to admit it.
3. All mom and dad all the time—you are rolling in the richness of mom and dad’s complete attention. Very few get the privilege of such one on one time. My time was the summer of 2001, and I’m afraid my brattyness prevented me from really basking in the glory of it.

Hope the car continues to rock the casbah. When do you head home?

Jenny, everyone knows that song...
as the for the mechanic ~ he makes you scratch his head for payment and I am always scared of what i will find in dad's hair...when i was little i found a tiny pencil and i have been scared every since...plus he is totally mr. bossy about how to scratch.

Yes, I'm sorry, I was just about to say we sing that in preschool. Cyd already told you. BUT! There's the one thing not everybody has: the cutest kid in the world singing it to you. Wish I could hear it.
Love, Alison
Happy Easter from here, too, and don't forget the dinosaur has bunny ears.

P.S. That is not some weird code like the Eagle is leaving the Nest. The dinosaur really does have bunny ears.
