Our trip in the Pocono Mountains started off at Beltsville Lake.
We rented a pretty high-powered boat complete with luxury furnishings.
We cruised the lake and took in the beauty all the while going 10mph.
Camping was awesome. Tyler and Lexi were absolutely adorable to watch. Cyd and Phil kept us laughing with their high class humor and Austin and Chase were cute but thrown into pack-n-plays for wanting to dive into the fire. That's campin.
We proved ourselves to be true outdoorsmen while on our extreme hike. The umbrella stroller didn't skip a beat...We did spy a beautifully serene water fall and climbed to the top...Austin's death wish became evident when he tried Peter Panning off the edge...TWICE. Anyone got a harness for this kid?
Hotel life suited us just the same. The staff didn't know what was about to hit their complimentary cookie jar nor the hallway runners.
Phil's annual Hill Family Reunion was an absolute hoot. The reunion was well organized and full of fun games for the kids, but between the unknown gender of the boy/girl and the kids toy auction...our sides were splitting. I still think someone threw away Lexi's tickets for that Elephant. CYD??
The ride on the Reading Railroad was a nice little treat. It took us through gorgeous scenery and was very informative. We've got to go back when Santa is there.
Needless to say it was an awesome vacation with the perfect people! Just don't play Settlers with Phil...it gets to his head. P.S. I let you win 'cause I felt bad about the new bald spot on your leg. Hope it heals well...wuss.
I am thankful for Jim Thorpe and all it's beauty and witch stores. Can't wait to do it again!

Jenn,
I'm sorry to tell you this but you have GOT to scrapbook!! The pictures you take are too dang cool. You live and go to awesome places. :)
Ha! I heart this trip and I wasn't even there. Thanks, Jim Thorpe and Jenn Meyerson, for some cute pictures too. Sure do miss you Meyersons and Barnos.
I seriously just peeeeeed my pants...you are so stinken funny. That trip looked so fun! That boat trip looked sweet. Did Phil try and water ski off the back? He can't handle any faster than 10 mph anyway...
Keep the blogs coming sista!
We are so glad that you all had such a wonderful time camping and going to the beach. Robin and I are going camping this weekend with YSA. We are excited. we LOVE camping and being in the great outdoors.
You very cleverly described how a white trash trip became fun and glorious. I love how you described the reunion as "organized." Bring out the big guns and say it was totally bizarro world!! And I still can't believe the lawn chairs on that hot rod. Remember when Trav got yelled at by the boat owner? Good times...We had a great time and once we have a motor home the camping shall be fabulous!!!
That is so weird...I thought you would have more to say about your new friend Jim. It's almost like he wasn't even there!
