Nature Unappreciated

A few nights back we had some buddies, Mason and the Ollivater, come over for a sleepover extravaganza. Just so you know...I was informed his name isn't Ollivater but he wouldn't tell me his "real" name.

Proof that I force TV on them.

Time for a "nature walk." A sure remedy for cabin fever.

Here is a play by play.

A few trillion puddles we stomped. Thank goodness for the invention-rubber boot.

Captain Mason didn't make it out of the house with his hat. Queen Lexi made it ten steps until she shed her crown. Kudos to Captain Ollie for hanging in there with his hat. Don't you stress, my crown stayed on the entire trip, too.

The big kids blew the tiny one away with their longs legs. "Hey duys. Hey duys. Dait for me," but there was no hope.

Then came the highly educational explanation of "Why Leaves Change colors." I personally think I handled it well with, "Cause they like to change into their favorite color."

Bring on the collection of treasure.

Was there fighting over treasures? You better believe it. Was there threats given? You can bet on it.

The proud hunters with their prizes.

Where did they put their hard earned trophies, you ask? In a heap. I repeat.

Nature unappreciated.

We had some serious fun in the rain.

Good thing you are AWESOME!! Thanks for taking such good care of the rascals. They are still talking about the sleepover. Oh, and the reason the Ollivater won't tell you his real name is because we changed it to a symbol. He now answers only to "the stinker formerly known as the Ollivater." Hope that relieves any confusion.

Why are you the coolest Mom I know? I hope you write a book, so that I can think of fun things like that to do with my crew.

I'm Kristin's sister. thanks so much for taking the boys when she really needed it. I hate that she lives so far from me but am so happy to know that she has good friends who take good care of her. We love her and those boys. Thank you so so much.

It is a PILE. Not a heap. Those are neatly stacked, if you ask me.
