Considering how much the insurance paid what we paid is a hay penny, but it brought us to our knees non the less! I figured it all out that Jake's total came to about 7.5 to 8 million and that is just medical bills. I'd say it cost us about 100 million in emotional health dollars, but those don't really exist.
Tonight I shall be making hot chocolate and cookies in honor of this blessed event. We sure know how to live it up baby!! We are ROLLIN' in it!!!
Uh oh. The last picture I had might have been the wrong picture to use. I meant NOW we are so "rolling in it" that we can flush it, instead we just sleep on it.

Since that post is at the top, it's aligned with picture of Jake in his "I wanted to be good, but I got bored" shirt and I couldn't help but think, "worth every penny." I don't even think it makes a difference that the 8 million didn't come out of my pocket... Though I'll gladly dedicate my next 8 million. :)
We know how it is to pay for extended medical care. Grandmas medical bills for the last 5 years sure added up to a pretty penny too. THANK GOODNESS for INSURANCE!!!! We are so glad you are all paid off. But like Jodi said, Jake (and Grandma) were worth every penny.
Congratulations!! That must be a relief.
This feels like a VISA commercial, but kinda like Jodi said...
Expert treatment for 6+ months: $8 million
Transportation costs to Philadelphia: $a lot
Emotional costs: $150 million
Getting to meet darling little Jake Meyerson: PRICELESS
Yeah! Congratulations. I know Jake appreciates the life you gave him for his seven months on earth. Just think... I am sure he is livin it up and celebrating with you! I hope you enjoyed the hot chocolate!
And breath...
congratulations! what a relief to have a debt paid off. we are still working on ours and it was nowhere near what yours was, emotionally or financially! tell me you secrets.
I have to say that I would pay $1 billion trillion dollars to have Captain Jake back! I miss him so much :(
I'm so happy that you finally paid off all those bills. It has to feel good to not see another bill from Children's Surgical Associates...
Hooray! No more getting harassing bills in the mail to remind you of the toughest thing you've ever been through!
Oh man, how I wish we could sleep on/flush our $$ like you Meyersons. Our medical bill journey has just begun. Congrats!
Hip Hip Hooray! I'm glad that the ugly insurance bills are done with so you have more time drinking hot cocoa and red juice.
I liked your sister's comment,"Jackie". It sums it up real nice.
"Getting to meet darling little Jake Meyerson: PRICELESS"
