An ode to Dolly

Dearest Dolly without a name,
but Lexi loves you still the same.
With your braided brown yarn hair,
Lexi would love to take you everywhere.
You've been with her for all her years,
who knew that Lexi would melt into tears...
when mommy told her the Gobble bag came,
and ate you when she didn't clean up her game.
Now I know the weakness of her heart,
that you two don't like to be apart.
I will now use this ammo for all time,
and I'm impressed that I did all this rhyme.

Now go clean your room.

**Gobble Bag is the dread that eats Lexi's toys when she doesn't clean up. Sometimes she gets them back, sometimes not so much.

This ode may have made my day,
And I'm glad dear Dolly gets to stay.

(Your ode was pure genius, and worth adding to our collection. WELL DONE!!!)

That was amazing! You can take it one step further and make it into a rap!

It'll be a hit! I guaranteed it!

Once upon a time a sister read this blog
she laughed so hard she snorted like a hog!

You are a serious crack up missy! I love the gobble bag idea...we use a boring old cardboard box...how embarrassing for us!

p.s. she is so darn cute sleeping I can't stand it!

I was going to respond in rhyme, too, but it seems like most thought that the thing to do. So, I'll just tell you - the host - how much I enjoyed your clever post.

Wow, what a poet we have on our hands here. How come this little talent of yours never came out before? I am so glad that the gobble bag barfed her little dolly right back up!

You're such a creative gal. I'm glad to hear that your gobble bag doesn't give everything back--I was beginning to feel like a bad mom for doing that.
